What we collect

When you submit a form on this site (a contact request, valuation inquiry, buyer registration, listing inquiry, or clinic inquiry), we collect the information you provide: typically your name, email address, phone number if you include it, and the details of your message or inquiry. We also use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site, which collects standard usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location, and device type.

How we use it

We use the information you submit for one purpose: to respond to your inquiry and provide the advisory, brokerage, or valuation services you asked about. Analytics data is used in aggregate to improve the site. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone, and we do not send marketing you did not ask for.

Confidentiality

Pharmacy transactions are sensitive. Beyond this policy, information you share about a potential sale, purchase, or valuation is treated as confidential business information and is not disclosed to any party without your direction, other than as required by law.

How you found us

When you first visit, the site records in your browser's local storage the page you arrived on, the site that referred you (for example a search engine or an AI assistant), the time, and any campaign tags in the link you clicked. This record contains nothing that identifies you, is not sent anywhere on its own, and is kept for 90 days. If you later submit a form, it is included with your submission so we know which channels bring us enquiries. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data, and the site works normally without it.

Storage and sharing

Form submissions are delivered to us by email and stored in the systems we use to run the business. We share personal information only with service providers who process it on our behalf (such as email, analytics, and advertising measurement providers), and never for their own use. We keep information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected or as required by law.

Cookies and analytics

We also keep our own anonymous counters of how the site is used: which pages are viewed, the kind of site or search engine a visit came from, the country and type of device, how long a page stayed open and how far it was scrolled (in broad bands), and which links to other websites were followed. These are stored only as totals per day. They use no cookies and store no IP address or other identifier, so they cannot be used to recognise you or follow you between pages. The time on page and link counters are not collected when your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal.

We use Google Analytics 4 to measure how visitors find and use the site, and advertising measurement tags from Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google Ads, and Microsoft Advertising (Bing) so that we can understand which advertising brings enquiries and show relevant ads to people who have visited. These set cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site works without them. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on, and each advertising platform lets you change what it uses to select the ads you see in its own ad settings.

When you submit a form, we may also send an irreversible scrambled form (a one way hash) of your email address and phone number to these platforms, so that an enquiry can be matched to an advertisement you saw. Your actual email address and phone number are never sent, and a hash cannot be turned back into them. That report also carries the standard connection details a website already sees, your IP address and browser type, which the platforms use to match the visit. Enquiries you send from a pharmacybroker.ca address are excluded entirely.

We also note when a visit was referred by an AI assistant such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Copilot, or Gemini. This records only the name of the assistant, nothing about you and nothing about what you asked it. No AI company receives any information from us.

Your rights

You may ask us at any time what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@pharmacybroker.ca and we will respond within a reasonable time, normally within 30 days.
