Loblaw Companies is the largest pharmacy operator in BC with 224 locations, counting Shoppers Drug Mart (each store owned by an individual associate corporation under licence) together with the Loblaw Pharmacy and Drugstore Pharmacy locations inside its grocery stores, owned by Westfair Drugs B.C. Ltd., and MediSystem, Loblaw's long term care specialty pharmacy. Across the register, 76 owner groups hold two or more pharmacies, while the majority of the 1,010 distinct owners of record operate a single store.
